This hotel offers free high-speed wireless Internet, outdoor pool, playground equipment and a large play area for the family. A restaurant is located on site. The Cowboy motel, restaurant, and gift shop is located on the west edge of Custer, an easy half mile from the center of town. Deer may be seen grazing on the forested hillside across the roadway or even in the yard at night. At the mile high altitude one can enjoy crisp mountain air with cool nights even in the middle of summer. The guests can have sit-out evenings without fussing with mosquitoes. A variety of rooms from single to two- and three-room family units are available. Most ground floor units have park-at-door convenience. In the yard around the outdoor pool, a unique miniature golf eighteen-hole crolf course played with croquet equipment is created. The playground has a basketball court and horse swings for little ones. Across a large parking area is Buster*s Cowboy Cafe and Dakota Cowboy Gifts. Although prime rib is king at The Cowboy, the menu has something for everyone. Kids and seniors have their own special choices. The gift shop has an inventory of diverse items ranging form souvenirs to unique, locally crafted, western fine art. Bus and truck parking is available. The hotel is at walking distance to restaurants and offers nice and clean rooms, heated pool, continental breakfast, and special group rates.
